Media fasting #1

Day 1

verse; John 13:37
purpose; wait for God to move

Woke up at 2PM, I thought: 'aww men, the first day has arrived!'
Today is the first day of 40days of media fasting. That means no media/ hype thingies like Facebook, Twitter, Skype, MSN, television or gaming. I can't even watch basketball games.
'For what?', some people ask. Simple; nowadays, we are simply swallowed up by the media. Like we can't live without it.
If I clear up space and time to fast on media, I will have way more free time for other stuff.
First, I will have more free time with GOD. Second, more time will be cleared for FAMILY and FRIENDS. Third, I will have more free time to DO THINGS I NORMALLY DON'T HAVE TIME FOR.
I think it will be tough to hold on for 40days this long. But I'm not on my own and I ain't building on my own strength.. cause He is here for me.

My pastor has provided us a Youtube- playing list with worship songs. So luckily I don't have to search songs for myself.
I've got some songs myself too. For the ones who are also fasting or interested ones;

Lecrae - faithful
Lecrae - don't waste your life, featuring Cam & Dwayne Tryumf

and yes.. they are both from the genre rap.

to do list
- pray for people who've been sick lately (I too start to have a sore throat)
- read the bible (I'm somewhere at Luke, I think?)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- sleep earlier, cause I can't watch NBA.
- maybe something will come up in my mind to do?

Want to add some little up here,
since I'm already busy with fasting on media, I just add a little self made fasting.
I want to fast on these two things too;
- cursing (yeah, I sometimes do that)
- cut off some slang (need to start to talk a little more formal)

I find cursing more negative than slang talk. So every time I curse, I'll add up 3 push- ups every word. (3 is the number of holy Trinity)

This was and will be my first day. I'm very interested how I will become after 40days without media, hahahahahahha. Very, very curious about it.
So yeah, I'm only available on my cell phone and mail. Oh, you can also leave a message behind here on blogspot.

Guess I'll be going,

God bless you!

*Edit; I became sick during the day )=

You just watch

I'm gonna be a better dad than you'll EVER BE!! Loser.
This I promise my mom and in the name of Jesus Christ.

Again

Tonight I went back to my basketball team Sanzektu to play again. I haven't played there since 2 months ago when I hurt my finger.
It was really nice to play again in an environment where I can get better and better.
But the downside was: my stamina was wáááy off. Guess it's time to pick it up again and raise it to the next level.
Gonna train harder!!
Wraaaahhhhhh ~

Good night y'all and hav' a blessed night rest!

Don't waste your life

I know a lot of people out there scared they gon' die
Couple of em thinking they'll be livin' in the sky
But while I'm here livin' man I gotta ask why, what am here for I gotta figure out
Waste my life? no I gotta make it count
If Christ is real then what am I gon' do about
Everything in Luke 12:15 down to 21 you really oughta go and check it out
Paul said if Christ ain't resurrected then we wasted our lives
Well that implies that our life's built around Jesus being alive
Everyday I'm living tryin' to show the world why
Christ is more than everything you'll ever try
Better than pretty women and sinning and living to get a minute of any women and men that you admire
It ain't no lie
We created for Him
Outta the dust He made us for Him
Elects us and He saves us for Him
Jesus comes and He raises for Him
Magnify the Father why bother with something lesser
He made us so we could bless Him and to the world we confess him
Resurrects him
So I know I got life matter fact better man I know I got Christ
If you don't see His ways in my days and nights
You can hit my brakes you can stop my lights Man I lost my rights
I lost my life
Forget the money, cars and toss that ice
The cost is Christ
And they could never offer me anything on the planet that'll cost that price.

Suffer, yeah do it for Christ if you trying to figure what to do with your life
If you making a lot money hope you doing it right because the money is God's you
better steward it right
Stay focused if you ain't got no ride
Your life ain't wrapped up in what you drive
The clothes you wear the job you work
The color your skin naw you Christian first
People living life for a job
Make a lil money start living for a car
Get em a house a wife kids and a dog
When they retire they living high on the hog
But guess what they didn't ever really live at all
To live is Christ yeah that's Paul I recall
To die is gain so for Christ we give it all
He's the treasure you'll never find in the mall
Your money your singleness marriage talent and time
They were loaned to you to show the world that Christ is Divine
That's why it's Christ in my rhymes
That's why it's Christ all the time
See my whole world is built around him He's the life in my lines
I refused to waste my life
He's too true to chase that ice
Here's my gifts and time cause I'm constantly trying to be used to praise the Christ
If he's truly raised to life
Then this news should change your life
And by his grace you can put your faith in place that rules your days and nights.
