Day 9
verse; Mark 4:34
purpose; only when you let God show you the secret hidden places inside your life, He will help you understand things you want, cause He already understands everything
Today I spent a lot of time listening to songs of Lecrae, a Christian rapper. I even forgot to do my school assignment.(guess I have to do it in the evening)
I found some new songs about the gospel. I really like! (don't worry, I didn't spend much time looking for them, so I didn't lose valuable time)
Lecrae - Crossover
Lecrae - Go hard (ft. Tedashii)
Lecrae - Praying for you
Lecrae - Transformers
What else.. I already made global plans with Elton when we're hanging out with Jesus for a day. What are we going to do? Read the bible and have quiet time, cover a worship song, pray for people who are popping up in our mind and we're going to buy a gift for some people who don't know Jesus.
This whole day will be dedicated to Him.
to do list
- spread His Word!
- read the bible (After Luke I'm reading Acts now, because Luke also wrote Acts)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- maybe something else will come up in my mind to do?
Guess I'll be going,
God bless you!
Yo, life's way more than ice and rims
and you don't make enough to pay the price of sin

Media fasting #8
Day 8
verse; Luke 23:26
purpose; if we obey and serve the Lord, let those who suffered because of it, be trusted to the Lord and He will care for them
Isn't it nice to hear if someone told you he or she is reading your stuff you write or put on the internet? It feels kind of appreciated and it makes you like: 'wow' right?
I, sure feel that! It's always nice to hear from people that they are reading or even following what you are writing or putting up on your website or blog. It makes you want to write even more and share even more. Especially when you are writing about God. There are so many specials things to share about Jesus Christ. I just want to put all that up in once and share it worldwide! But it would be too much info and I will be busy for days! THAT much can I share about Him.
Today I also heard from people who are following my blog here. It makes me happy, really! That people can enjoy my experience with God. And I will also pray for them, so they can have their own experience with Jesus Christ Himself.
to do list
- spread His Word!
- read the bible (yesterday I finished Luke, now I'm reading Acts)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- maybe something else will come up in my mind to do?
Guess I'll be going,
God bless you!
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek

Media fasting #7
Day 7
verse; Acts 26:17-18
purpose; convert doesn't mean salvation, sanctification by receiving something from God is
Today in the evening I had discipleship with a group of brothers and our leader, our pastor. At the meeting place, we started with some chitchat about how we dealt with the media fasting. Surprisingly, nobody had trouble with it. It was so nice hear that. Everybody had their own way to deal with the free time that was over.
Then we started with a question round about how everyone was classifying their free time now.
The one read a book, the other had more time to rest, then the other one had more time with his family. It was really nice and good to hear how everyone was using his time (normally for media) now for social contacts and reading specific books.
After that we examined Acts 26:17-18 and the description from 'My Utmost for His Highest'. We went really deep for that verse and we shared our opinion about what that verse could actually mean for us as Christians. The message was obvious, but there was a under hidden reality in it. The final conclusion for us was (if you also read it at http://utmost.org/) that convert doesn't mean salvation. Sanctification by receiving something from God is real salvation. By giving your 'existence rights' to Jesus Christ, we will become sanctified and gain His full forgiveness of sins.
It was really a night to be remembered. Everybody was fired up!!
Thank you, God! For sending the message from Your Word through different people!
to do list
- spread His Word!
- read the bible (I'm at Luke 20 now)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- maybe something else will come up in my mind to do?
Guess I'll be going,
God bless you!
Because of His great love,
He gave His only Son

Media fasting #6
Day 6
verse; 1 Thessalonians 5:23
purpose; didn't find out about it.. will ask my pastor tomorrow
Today was Sunday.. a day for me to go to the Sunday service. I didn't know it would be a service with a direct personal message to me from God. He really struck me with an important message. I was speechless. For a moment I was thinking about all the things in my Christian life. I asked myself: 'have I changed when I converted?'
A brother noticed me I was a little emotional and we talked to each other. He wanted to pray for me.
After we prayed, he said this to me: 'If you haven't changed since you were converted, then this message during the service wouldn't struck you and you would just walk away from church like nothing has happened. So I believe you have changed.'
I thank God for this brother and His message to wake me up and remind me what is to be His follower.
The rest of the Sunday was really nice. Normally we (friends from church) go to the movie, but during this media fasting we had a nice time talking to each other and had a lot of fun while hanging out.
Amen!
to do list
- find a open day to go intimate with Jesus (planning it with Elton)
- read the bible (I'm at Luke 21 now)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- maybe something will come up in my mind to do?
Guess I'll be going,
God bless you!
If He's truly raised to life,
then this news should change your life,

Media fasting #5
Day 5
verse; Genesis 22:9
purpose; a sacrifice for God has to be one with life, one He can use
Yesterday I read a couple of chapters in Luke. There were a few verses that were jumping out en needed a lot of attention from me. If you're interested, you can look it up ;)
- Luke 15:1-7 (the lost sheep)
- Luke 16:13 (can't serve two lords)
- Luke 17:1-3
While traveling there isn't much to do. Normally I'm listening to music. But since I was rushing through my day yesterday, I tried reading the bible in the train when I went to basketball and back home. No full concentration was needed. It was quiet in the train and I was led by Jesus through the chapters. And again He learned me a lot of things AND He reminded of many things. Very grateful!
Today I slept till 1PM, cause I went to a party last night. I was exhausted cause before the party I did some breakdancing and after that I went to my basketball team in Zaandam to shoot some hoops.
Today was the same usual Saturday as every other Saturday. About 4PM I left my house to go play basketball (yeah, again) in Gein.
And I closed my day with a good talk with Alex about some things in life (Alex's blog can be found in my friends list). Didn't had that in a long time.
And oh.. Elton offered to join me in a full day 'hanging out' with Jesus. How cool is that!
to do list

- read the bible (I'm at Luke 18 now)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)

ps; I'm going insane in my mind! wraaaaaaahhhhhhh!
Hung on the cross in the cold
