Day 7
verse; Acts 26:17-18
purpose; convert doesn't mean salvation, sanctification by receiving something from God is
Today in the evening I had discipleship with a group of brothers and our leader, our pastor. At the meeting place, we started with some chitchat about how we dealt with the media fasting. Surprisingly, nobody had trouble with it. It was so nice hear that. Everybody had their own way to deal with the free time that was over.
Then we started with a question round about how everyone was classifying their free time now.
The one read a book, the other had more time to rest, then the other one had more time with his family. It was really nice and good to hear how everyone was using his time (normally for media) now for social contacts and reading specific books.
After that we examined Acts 26:17-18 and the description from 'My Utmost for His Highest'. We went really deep for that verse and we shared our opinion about what that verse could actually mean for us as Christians. The message was obvious, but there was a under hidden reality in it. The final conclusion for us was (if you also read it at http://utmost.org/) that convert doesn't mean salvation. Sanctification by receiving something from God is real salvation. By giving your 'existence rights' to Jesus Christ, we will become sanctified and gain His full forgiveness of sins.
It was really a night to be remembered. Everybody was fired up!!
Thank you, God! For sending the message from Your Word through different people!
to do list
- spread His Word!
- read the bible (I'm at Luke 20 now)
- replace the 'media time' for time for family, friends or self discipline (training, basketball, dancing etc)
- maybe something else will come up in my mind to do?
Guess I'll be going,
God bless you!
Because of His great love,
He gave His only Son
